We are happy to release our latest changes to our existing Gap night rule feature for Rategenie. Using the latest feature changes, users will be able to add multiple Gap night rules for different Gaps between the bookings within their linked strategy. Also these changes will allow you the opportunity to fill gaps perfectly with bookings without having to worry about nights being lost. For more details please click here.

There is not currently a solution for the rate configuration that you have suggested, outside of Booking.com. For Booking.com, you will need to configure a 2 night min stay rate in Tokeet, and push that to your Standard Rate on Booking.com. Then, in the Booking.com Extranet, you will need to create a new rate plan, and set the min stay as 1 night for that rate plan. The pricing can be set to be based on the Standard Rate, in which case you don’t need to create a new rate category in Tokeet. Or, you can choose to set that 1 night stay pricing yourself, in which case you will need to create a new rate category in Tokeet, and push that new rate category to your new Booking.com rate plan.
That is the only solution available for your rate configuration, and it’s currently only available with Booking.com. Please let us know if you have any further questions. We’re happy to help.

I believe we already have this feature. The gap night rule allows you to set a variable min stay based on the length of the gap. Am I missing something here?

I definitely agree. The end result should say From X where X = the lowest nightly rate within the time period selected by the guest.
As for Alistair’s suggestion about the inclusion of VAT/Fees in the total, I will propose that this be a configurable option on websites/widgets. (Meaning either have it include the rental taxes/fees or exclude depending on the choice made in configuration.)
We have a few tickets open relating to RateGenie communicating rates properly to websites and widgets. Once these are closed, we’ll be more able to move forward on these improvements.
For the simple short term fix suggested by Ryland, I’ve created a ticket to have this changed.
Thanks,
Christian
