Important Updates for New SCA Regulations!

  • STAFF

On 14 September 2019, new requirements for authenticating online payments known as Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) will be introduced in Europe.

SCA is a new European regulatory requirement to reduce fraud and make online payments more secure.

    Does this affect me?

Any charge request to a bank or credit card in the EU may require the guest to authenticate via two-factor authentication.

    • European guests will require a new option to authenticate their cards.

    • European Tokeet users will require an option to authenticate the credit card used for their subscription. (If you already have a card on file, there is no need for you to do anything.)

In preparation for these new regulations, we have upgraded our systems in the following ways:

    • Tokeet's Billing Info page for subscription payments.
Signing up for Tokeet service will be as easy as before. The option to authenticate will be available should you need to do so.

    • Tokeet invoices sent to guests.
If required, guests will be automatically redirected to complete the authentication steps required by their bank or credit card.
