It's because they haven't implemented the BDC messaging API and instead rely on the booking.com email address. If you send the guest a message and they reply, it works OK, but if the guest sends you a new message via the booking on BDC it doesn't link together properly. This has been an issue for me for ages though, not just recently.

@Ryland-Nelson Great suggestion Ryland. I'll go ahead and submit the ticket for this improvement request. In the meantime, please see the below possible workflow for this. Create booking from Dashboard. Refresh the dashboard screen and open the booking from the activity feed.

Hi Ryland. The payment logs go back 30 days, in app. If you wish to see activity beyond that span, you will have to reference your stripe account to see the full payment logs.

Hi Ryland. Thanks for your feedback. The notifications were removed previously due to user feedback. The team will investigate possibly bringing them back in the future, if there is enough user demand for the feature. It's nice to know that some users found them useful.

Hi Ryland, I've looked into this further and see that the issue is still as I stated it. Linked rooms create hold events with status "Confirmed" and are properly showing availability as blocked on the inventory search. I understand that there are still scenarios that will be problematic though...such as owners creating hold events with statuses meant to convey the meaning of the block, or you needing to set it to Pending so that you are aware that the reservation is not yet confirmed. In the meantime, any hold event that is not marked as confirmed will not properly block availability, but using Confirmed hold events will result in it working properly. Please let me know if you find a specific example where this is not the case. Thanks, Christian

Hi Ryland, We worked on this again this morning and have been able to send a message successfully through to your guest Chad. We expect that this issue should be resolved going forward. You should be able to send messages from TV3 on any inquiries that were having this trouble before. There is no need to delete and re-import the booking anymore, but we need you to confirm to make sure. Setting up the exact scenario has been the major hold-up in getting this resolved. Thanks for the input everybody. I definitely agree. The end result should say From X where X = the lowest nightly rate within the time period selected by the guest. As for Alistair's suggestion about the inclusion of VAT/Fees in the total, I will propose that this be a configurable option on websites/widgets. (Meaning either have it include the rental taxes/fees or exclude depending on the choice made in configuration.) We have a few tickets open relating to RateGenie communicating rates properly to websites and widgets. Once these are closed, we'll be more able to move forward on these improvements. For the simple short term fix suggested by Ryland, I've created a ticket to have this changed. Thanks, Christian
